  Honest survey question on effectiveness of 'apostacy'

  it seems like lots of people have big dreams of 'destroying the watchtower'.

  it's usually linked to a story of how they were wronged and want some revenge.

  do these 'in your face' attempts to convince people that the truth isn't the truth really have an effect?.

  I see no justification for taking action that had the potential to cause him legal harm.

  On that I do not agree. There were ones who could have lost families or did lose families because of that BS! There was damage done. Why the hell do you think we have atty's ? For damage.

  So we should give him special treatment because of his site? Articles on a website? He has proven to be ego driven, time and time again, and as you can see by his recent blurb....he once again is NOT representative of the XJW community.

  I guess some have forgotten about the harm the WT (with it's excusable crimes and personaity) has affected many lives, like dear Ompa and many others.

  That's why the term DANGEROUS is used.

  I'm sure if Cedars had been sympathic from the very begining to the "outting" of innocents while under his charge as President, he would have not become an adversary to some of us in the XJW community. Period. He had the nerve to claim that A*** was the voice for the XJW community. It was not. Especially, the chosen personality which the A*** choose to take on which many of us thought was DANGEROUS! Yes, dangerous because Cedars is/was reflecting badly on the XJW community.

  If he was not caring or gentle with the outting, why on earth would someone be kind enough to send him a PM regarding the issue. He had no heart in the matter, at least not until we finally pulled an apology from him, and that wasn't even a personal one.

  Some here think because he has a site with great articles is enough. It's not. There's more involved to gain respect of a community.

  Even with him posting the recent blurb regarding JWN. Really? One thing is for sure .....he's action speaks volumes......

  government build a canal in nicaragua.. .

  so now, it seems it will be built, and will accommodate the largest ships.

  before i dive into the actual write-up of this experience, let me put some things straight.. i have thought long and hard if i should write more about my experiences during the 10+ years at different branches.

  during these years i worked from financial department, service department, home office and different it assignments.

  as you can imagine one sees and hears and reads a lot of stuff going through different stations in different countries.

  If you ever decide to write a book or sript there's always use of a pseudonyme. You can also replace the name of the cult . Also, instead of writing this as a tell all, write it as a literary work.

  Brit Marling's project called "Sound of My Voice" was an interesting concept....

  How can I stay motivated for field ministry?

  thus asks my beloved and slow-on-the-uptake jw hubby, who is finding it increasingly difficult to drag himself out the door.

  I stay totally away from religous subjects with my daughter. If we go there, her sheild goes up, and she shuts down.

  She recently asked how was I doing? I responded..."You know I'm doing rather well. Actually, I think this is the most content I've ever felt"........dead silence on the other side of the phone........she expected me to say how rotten I'm doing because I'm not in the WTS......

  Here's some reverse psychology for you. I tell him how handsome he looks, straighten his tie, and tell him to go and get himself lots of converts. His look when I say this is priceless. It's "as if". He knows it's make-work.

  ....hilarious.....

  Seriously, I think you're right about letting nature take it's course.....

  Thanksgiving?

  here in the u.s. of a., come one week from today, families will come together to feast in celebration of the day in 1621 when pilgrims and native americans shared feasting for three days... ...and then the natives were slaughtered and driven out of the lands in the coming years.

  i wondered if native americans themselves celebrate thanksgiving... (interesting findings out there).

  cast your votes as to whether or not i'm a freakazoid for not celebrating it!

  I haven't participated in the holiday for years because of that very reason. Call me crazy. But this year I am going to dinner with a friend and have a nice yummy turkey dinner......
